I didn't expect this to "blow up" so much - so here are some answers to FAQs
Hi Reader
A little over a week ago I posted this episode - where I explained that I had changed my mind on a few things in the holistic world & the biggest one I had questions on was TOOTHPASTE!
I have named it "toothpaste gate 2026" ๐. In all seriousness - we got a lot of emails here in the inbox - and I received hundreds of messages and comments on instagram.
Many questions on our personal routines (mainly because I have a 3 year old who is too young for mouthwash). So I recorded a follow up episode to answer your questions & give resources on some "cleaner" toothpastes.

This Week: Toothpaste Gate 2026, My Birthday Giveaway, and Sunscreen Indoors
โLast week's episode stirred up a lot, so I'm following up. After I shared that my family stopped using hydroxyapatite toothpaste, my inbox and DMs blew up, lots of you reported gray teeth, new cavities, and surprise dental bills after making the switch. So let's talk about it.
My take on Toothpaste Gate: Cavities showing up after a switch often point to something deeper than the toothpaste itself. I dig into the terrain underneath, mouth breathing, gut dysbiosis, and mineral and nutrient deficiencies, and walk through the exact routine my kids actually use (built on Dr. Ellie's toddler protocol), plus the fluoride toothpaste alternatives I'd point you to.
Sunscreen indoors? I also tackle this one. Standard UV filters don't block high-energy visible blue light, which is why I recommend tinted products with iron oxide instead if you can't switch off the blue lights. And I get into the nuance I always come back to: sun exposure and skin cancer are about cumulative oxidative stress, not a simple "sun = bad" story.
I also share all the links you guys asked for below (toothpastes - etc) - so keep reading if you want those!
