They told me I'd inherit my mom's varicose veins. I'm 47 without them.

Two new articles on legs, plus Blueprint doors open in August (waitlist only).

I've been writing about legs this week & it's been a hot topic....

Hi Reader

I've been writing about legs this week. Bear with me, because it turned into something bigger than legs....

It started with a memory: When I was little, I looked at my mom's legs and my grandmother's legs, saw those ropey blue veins, and asked what they were. I was told the same thing so many of you were told: they're genetic, you'll get them too.

I'm 47, and I don't have them....now - some of this might come down to luck - but I want to show you what some of the research says and let you make your own decision.

I put the whole story into a new article, why veins fail, what the conventional "it's just plumbing" model gets wrong, what Dr. Pollack's water science says about veins as living tissue, and the honest truth about what's actually reversible and what isn't. It's one of the more layered things I've written, and I don't hedge on the hard parts.

Then there's the companion piece. Before veins even become veins, a lot of us just feel it, that puffy, heavy, uncomfortable-by-mid-afternoon feeling in our legs. I lived there for years. I didn't fix it with compression socks. I fixed it by changing how I lived day to day, and I broke down the five specific things that actually moved the needle for me (some of them will surprise you, one of them is basically free).

The thread running through both? Your body isn't sentenced by your genes. It's always responding to your terrain, the light you get, the water and minerals you run on, how much you move, how well your circulation and lymph are flowing. Change the terrain, change the outcome.

One tool that shows up in both - and it's on sale right now:

Red and near-infrared light is one of my quiet daily non-negotiables for circulation and mitochondrial support. If you've wanted an easy, no-excuses way to start, the Bon Charge mini red light is the one I reach for, small enough to keep on your desk or point at your legs while you work.

And the timing could not be better: BON CHARGE is having a Mid-Year Sale - 25% off site-wide through July 31st. The discount is automatically applied at checkout, so there's no code to remember.

Now the big news.

Blueprint Coaching is opening again in August.

This is my bio-individual coaching cohort, the place where everything I write about here stops being general articles and becomes your plan, your light, your minerals, your hormones, your circadian rhythm, your stage of life, built for your body and not a template.

It fills up, and last 3 cohorts sold out. Doors open in August to the waitlist first, and the waitlist gets in before anyone else, plus waitlist-only discounts and resources you won't see publicly. If you've been circling this, this is the moment to raise your hand.

You do not want to hear about this after the doors have already closed. Get on the list, and I'll make sure you're the first to know the moment we open.

As always, everything here is education, not medical advice. If you have sudden swelling, warmth, or pain in one leg, please get it evaluated right away.

NEW VIDEO in case you missed it.....

A 2025 study took a group of postmenopausal women, all vitamin D deficient, all with early bone loss, and split them in two. Both groups got the exact same vitamin D pill at the same dose. The only difference was that one group also got UVB light three times a week.

Six months later, the pill only group had barely moved. Still sitting at the bottom of the range, with essentially no change in their muscle strength. The group that added light nearly doubled their vitamin D, got measurably stronger, and built more bone at the hip and spine.

Same vitamin D dose & the UVB light did the rest! And that’s before we even get into everything sunlight does that has nothing to do with vitamin D at all, the nitric oxide, the mitochondrial piece, the mood chemistry. I break all of it down, with the actual numbers and the research, right here: [Substack article]

If you’d rather watch than read, I turned the whole thing into a new YouTube video. Same science, a little more room to explain it, and I walk through what it actually means for you and your routine: [YouTube video]
