What blocks this gland & how this impacts the nervous system. New episode! And methylene blue is back in the headlines again π
The Pineal Gland, Trauma & Chronic Illness: A Missing Link?
Hope your Friday is off to an awesome start!
To kick off the weekend I wanted to share this really fascinating episode I did with Agricultural Scientist and Naturopathic Doctor Veronica Leslie Panagopoulos about the pineal gland - trauma and chronic illness.
As I mentioned in Wednesday's deep dive email about Vitamin D (click here to read if you missed it) - I have worked with a lot of people struggling with chronic illness, and I am always interested in new information for that population!
βMethylene blue has also been back in the limelight this week & I wanted to share a few quick thoughts on that as well....
Keep reading for all the links to listen & my thoughts on methylene blue....

What if the reason youβre not healing has to do with a tiny, overlooked gland deep inside your brain that most doctors never talk about?
In this weekβs episode, Iβm joined by agricultural scientist and naturopathic doctor Veronica Leslie Panagopoulos β and weβre diving deep into the pineal gland.
But I promise this isnβt just "woo", and we provide some good solid science to substantiate the conversation.
Weβre talking calcification, circadian biology, melatonin signaling, mitochondrial regulation, and the biochemical link between trauma, chronic illness, and your bodyβs innate healing intelligence.
In this episode, we explore:
What calcifies the pineal gland β and how to decalcify it
How melatonin from the pineal, not a pill, affects mitochondrial health
Why this gland may influence neurodivergence, intuition & emotional resilience
The critical link between light exposure, circadian rhythm, and deep healing
This is one of the most fascinating conversations Iβve had this year!
Methylene blue is trending again - and not always for the right reasons.
Itβs come under scrutiny on social media this week again not because of new dataβ¦ but because controversy generates clicks.
At the right dose and in the right context, methylene blue can be an incredibly supportive tool - for mitochondrial function, redox balance, and even brain clarity. I use it myself when I have had a night of poor sleep - feel like I'm getting sick, and if I am flying (I also have several clients that love it).
If you want to hear a lot of the claims being made on methylene blue debunked - information on dosing & more - Stay tuned for next week's podcast episode that will talk in more detail about the recent social media campaigns against methylene blue.
